# Mei vs Cymatica

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cymatica at 77% against Mei's 33%. Cymatica also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.1). Mei's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.5). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mei sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Cymatica sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cymatica holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 10 and 27 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Mei's written reviews are positive against 77% of Cymatica's.
