# Matter Neuroscience vs Patch Tarot

The clearest difference is monetization model: Patch Tarot at free with in-app purchases against Matter Neuroscience's subscription. Patch Tarot also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). Matter Neuroscience's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Matter Neuroscience sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Patch Tarot sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Patch Tarot holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Matter Neuroscience has 240 ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 83% of Matter Neuroscience's written reviews are positive against 100% of Patch Tarot's.

Matter Neuroscience ships an update weekly, Patch Tarot every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
