# Ghost Apartment vs Galactic Dorm

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Ghost Apartment at none against Galactic Dorm's 22. Ghost Apartment also leads on review sentiment (55% vs 30%) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). Galactic Dorm's advantage is ratings volume (37K vs 631). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Galactic Dorm sells 22 one-off in-app purchases. Ghost Apartment asks for nothing beyond the download.

Galactic Dorm holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Galactic Dorm has 37K ratings behind it against 631, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Ghost Apartment's written reviews are positive against 30% of Galactic Dorm's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ghost Apartment ships an update every 4 weeks, Galactic Dorm every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
