# Double Money vs Car Cops

Double Money and Car Cops both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 51% of Car Cops's written reviews are positive against 28% of Double Money's. Car Cops also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Double Money's advantage is chart position (#140 vs unranked) and ratings volume (77K vs 24K). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Double Money sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Car Cops sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Double Money holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 77K and 24K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Double Money's written reviews are positive against 51% of Car Cops's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Double Money ships an update every 6 weeks, Car Cops fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
