# Light Meter Pro vs Lux Light Meter Photography

The clearest difference is update cadence: Light Meter Pro at every 2 days against Lux Light Meter Photography's every 5 weeks. Light Meter Pro also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Lux Light Meter Photography's advantage is ratings volume (37 vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Light Meter Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Lux Light Meter Photography sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
