# Digital Clock vs SeClock

The clearest difference is ads: SeClock at none against Digital Clock's shown. SeClock also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Digital Clock's advantage is ratings volume (108 vs 4) and review sentiment (67% vs 58%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digital Clock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and SeClock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Digital Clock against 4.8 for SeClock. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Clock has 108 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of Digital Clock's written reviews are positive against 58% of SeClock's.

Digital Clock ships an update monthly, SeClock fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
