# Notes vs Notebook

The clearest difference is rating: Notebook at 4.3 against Notes's 3.0. Notebook also leads on ratings volume (523 vs 2). Notes's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notebook sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Notes asks for nothing beyond the download.

Notebook holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notebook has 523 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
