# WireVPN vs XyAnonymous

The clearest difference is rating: WireVPN at 4.6 against XyAnonymous's 4.1. WireVPN also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). XyAnonymous's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 69%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. XyAnonymous sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $15.99 per 7 days. WireVPN asks for nothing beyond the download.

WireVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WireVPN has 107K ratings behind it against 101, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of WireVPN's written reviews are positive against 100% of XyAnonymous's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WireVPN ships an update every 2 months, XyAnonymous weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
