# Loper vs Kodent

The clearest difference is monetization model: Loper at free against Kodent's freemium. Loper also leads on ratings volume (3.4K vs 1). Kodent's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Kodent holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Loper has 3.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of Loper's written reviews are positive against 67% of Kodent's.

Loper ships an update every 3 weeks, Kodent every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
