# Mobooks vs Keep Novel

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Mobooks at 6K against Keep Novel's 1. Mobooks also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Keep Novel's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 9 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mobooks sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Keep Novel sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $44.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Keep Novel holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mobooks has 6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Mobooks ships an update every 9 months, Keep Novel every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
