# Yaldi vs Otto

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Otto at 83% against Yaldi's 50%. Yaldi's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Yaldi holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yaldi has 30 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Yaldi's written reviews are positive against 83% of Otto's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Yaldi ships an update fortnightly, Otto every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
