# BT vs formula telemetry

The clearest difference is monetization model: formula telemetry at free against BT's paid. formula telemetry also leads on ads (none vs shown). BT's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BT ships an update every 10 days, formula telemetry every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
