# dimsa vs oChat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: dimsa at none against oChat's 10. dimsa also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). oChat's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. oChat sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. dimsa asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for dimsa against 5.0 for oChat. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: oChat has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

dimsa ships an update fortnightly, oChat every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
