# ScanAny vs Scanner Doc

ScanAny and Scanner Doc both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 97% of ScanAny's written reviews are positive against 52% of Scanner Doc's. ScanAny also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Scanner Doc's advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScanAny sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Scanner Doc sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for ScanAny against 4.6 for Scanner Doc. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scanner Doc has 3.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 97% of ScanAny's written reviews are positive against 52% of Scanner Doc's.

ScanAny ships an update every 3 weeks, Scanner Doc every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
