# Drill vs Recoil Shot Timer

The clearest difference is rating: Drill at 4.9 against Recoil Shot Timer's 4.1. Drill also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and ratings volume (179 vs 28). Recoil Shot Timer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drill sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Recoil Shot Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drill holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drill has 179 ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Drill's written reviews are positive against 75% of Recoil Shot Timer's.

Drill ships an update every 5 weeks, Recoil Shot Timer fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
