# My Notes vs Notebook

The clearest difference is rating: Notebook at 4.3 against My Notes's 3.0. Notebook also leads on ratings volume (523 vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). My Notes's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notebook sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. My Notes asks for nothing beyond the download.

Notebook holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notebook has 523 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

My Notes ships an update every 3 months, Notebook every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
