# BLANBOK+ vs ySky Player

The clearest difference is rating: ySky Player at 3.7 against BLANBOK+'s 2.1. ySky Player also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). BLANBOK+'s advantage is ratings volume (158 vs 7) and review sentiment (43% vs 33%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ySky Player holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BLANBOK+ has 158 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of BLANBOK+'s written reviews are positive against 33% of ySky Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BLANBOK+ ships an update every 6 weeks, ySky Player every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
