# Onlynote vs Notebook

The clearest difference is rating: Onlynote at 4.8 against Notebook's 4.3. Onlynote also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Notebook's advantage is ratings volume (523 vs 93) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Onlynote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Notebook sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Onlynote holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notebook has 523 ratings behind it against 93, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of Onlynote's written reviews are positive against 71% of Notebook's.

Onlynote ships an update monthly, Notebook every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
