# Onlynote vs Notebook

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Notebook at 93% against Onlynote's 75%. Onlynote's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Onlynote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Notebook sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Onlynote holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 93 and 122 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Onlynote's written reviews are positive against 93% of Notebook's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Onlynote ships an update monthly, Notebook every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
