# Curl vs SÄPP

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Curl at none against SÄPP's 1. Curl also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). SÄPP's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 26 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SÄPP sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Curl asks for nothing beyond the download.

Curl ships an update every 26 months, SÄPP monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
