# PDF Scanner vs PDF Converter ©

The clearest difference is rating: PDF Scanner at 5.0 against PDF Converter ©'s 4.5. PDF Converter ©'s advantage is ratings volume (101 vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Scanner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and PDF Converter © sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Scanner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Converter © has 101 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PDF Scanner ships an update every 6 weeks, PDF Converter © fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
