# Flyboys vs Contrail

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Contrail at 100% against Flyboys's 45%. Contrail also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). Flyboys's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (95 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flyboys sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Contrail sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Contrail holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. Flyboys ships an update weekly, Contrail every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
