# Vocalist vs MIS Alumni

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MIS Alumni at none against Vocalist's 10. MIS Alumni also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Vocalist's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vocalist sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. MIS Alumni asks for nothing beyond the download.

MIS Alumni holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vocalist has 2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Vocalist ships an update monthly, MIS Alumni fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
