# PetriPet 2 vs Malcong

The clearest difference is update cadence: Malcong at every 2 days against PetriPet 2's every 4 months. PetriPet 2's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PetriPet 2 sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Malcong sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PetriPet 2 ships an update every 4 months, Malcong every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
