# FlashCat Speed vs Ocean Private

The clearest difference is ratings volume: FlashCat Speed at 3K against Ocean Private's 1. Ocean Private's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlashCat Speed sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Ocean Private sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ocean Private holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlashCat Speed has 3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FlashCat Speed ships an update monthly, Ocean Private every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
