# Freespoke vs Keystroke Lock

The clearest difference is rating: Freespoke at 4.6 against Keystroke Lock's 3.3. Freespoke also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (4.6K vs 3). Keystroke Lock's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Freespoke sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Keystroke Lock asks for nothing beyond the download.

Freespoke holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Freespoke has 4.6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Freespoke's written reviews are positive against 50% of Keystroke Lock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Freespoke ships an update every 2 weeks, Keystroke Lock every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
