# WX Aviation Weather vs CloudPath

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CloudPath at 100% against WX Aviation Weather's 65%. CloudPath also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). WX Aviation Weather's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (535 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WX Aviation Weather sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and CloudPath sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CloudPath holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WX Aviation Weather has 535 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of WX Aviation Weather's written reviews are positive against 100% of CloudPath's.

WX Aviation Weather ships an update every 2 days, CloudPath fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
