# NFT Explorer vs Aurora Pass

The clearest difference is rating: NFT Explorer at 5.0 against Aurora Pass's 3.2. NFT Explorer also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Aurora Pass's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (17 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NFT Explorer sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Aurora Pass sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NFT Explorer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aurora Pass has 17 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NFT Explorer ships an update every 2 months, Aurora Pass every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
