# Whale vs Re

The clearest difference is device support: Whale at 4 against Re's 1. Whale also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Whale sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Re sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
