# RPG Notebook vs Actos

The clearest difference is rating: RPG Notebook at 4.0 against Actos's 3.8. RPG Notebook also leads on ratings volume (51 vs 5) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.5). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RPG Notebook sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Actos sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RPG Notebook holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RPG Notebook has 51 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of RPG Notebook's written reviews are positive against 75% of Actos's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RPG Notebook ships an update monthly, Actos every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
