# SFPS vs SM Home

The clearest difference is rating: SFPS at 5.0 against SM Home's 2.1. SM Home's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (13 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SFPS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SM Home has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SFPS ships an update every 8 months, SM Home monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
