# Tricky Cups vs Tricky Challenge

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Tricky Challenge at 22K against Tricky Cups's 10. Tricky Challenge also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tricky Cups sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Tricky Challenge sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Tricky Cups against 4.6 for Tricky Challenge. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tricky Challenge has 22K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tricky Cups ships an update every 4 months, Tricky Challenge every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
