# VanyaVPN vs HitProxy

The clearest difference is rating: VanyaVPN at 4.3 against HitProxy's 2.9. VanyaVPN also leads on ratings volume (3.9K vs 426). HitProxy's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (45% vs 35%). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VanyaVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. HitProxy asks for nothing beyond the download.

VanyaVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VanyaVPN has 3.9K ratings behind it against 426, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of VanyaVPN's written reviews are positive against 45% of HitProxy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VanyaVPN ships an update every 2 months, HitProxy every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
