# Cap vs Cooking Recipes

The clearest difference is ads: Cap at none against Cooking Recipes's shown. Cooking Recipes's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cap ships an update every 2 months, Cooking Recipes every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
