# PLL vs Hype

The clearest difference is ads: Hype at none against PLL's shown. Hype also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 85%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). PLL's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (4.2K vs 11). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for PLL against 5.0 for Hype. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PLL has 4.2K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 85% of PLL's written reviews are positive against 100% of Hype's.

PLL ships an update every 6 days, Hype every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
