# DayViewer vs Calendar

The clearest difference is rating: Calendar at 4.6 against DayViewer's 4.0. Calendar also leads on ratings volume (35 vs 1). DayViewer's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DayViewer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Calendar sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calendar holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calendar has 35 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DayViewer ships an update every 3 weeks, Calendar every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
