# DayViewer vs Time Blocking Planner

The clearest difference is rating: Time Blocking Planner at 4.7 against DayViewer's 4.0. Time Blocking Planner also leads on ratings volume (258 vs 1). DayViewer's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DayViewer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Time Blocking Planner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Time Blocking Planner holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time Blocking Planner has 258 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DayViewer ships an update every 3 weeks, Time Blocking Planner every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
