# Desktop Note vs AI Notebook

The clearest difference is rating: AI Notebook at 5.0 against Desktop Note's 4.7. AI Notebook also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 91%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Desktop Note's advantage is ratings volume (29 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Desktop Note sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months and AI Notebook sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Notebook holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Desktop Note has 29 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 91% of Desktop Note's written reviews are positive against 100% of AI Notebook's.

Desktop Note ships an update every 5 days, AI Notebook every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
