# InstSaver vs WhatStatHD

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WhatStatHD at 100% against InstSaver's 24%. WhatStatHD also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 8 months). InstSaver's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 28). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InstSaver sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and WhatStatHD sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

InstSaver holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: InstSaver has 1.7K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of InstSaver's written reviews are positive against 100% of WhatStatHD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

InstSaver ships an update every 8 months, WhatStatHD every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
