# InstSaver vs InstaVault

The clearest difference is ads: InstaVault at none against InstSaver's shown. InstaVault also leads on update cadence (every 4 months vs every 8 months). InstSaver's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InstSaver sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and InstaVault sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

InstSaver ships an update every 8 months, InstaVault every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
