# Platnova vs Foren

The clearest difference is rating: Foren at 5.0 against Platnova's 4.0. Platnova's advantage is review sentiment (69% vs 39%) and ratings volume (185 vs 9). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Foren holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Platnova has 185 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Platnova's written reviews are positive against 39% of Foren's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Platnova ships an update weekly, Foren every 10 days. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
