# PSLE Checkpoint vs Study Chinese

The clearest difference is update cadence: Study Chinese at every 3 days against PSLE Checkpoint's weekly. PSLE Checkpoint's advantage is iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PSLE Checkpoint sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $34.99 per month and Study Chinese sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
