# OUKU vs Dr

The clearest difference is ads: Dr at none against OUKU's shown. Dr also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). OUKU's advantage is ratings volume (906 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dr holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OUKU has 906 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

OUKU ships an update every 2 months, Dr every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
