# hashcloud vs PDF Scanner

The clearest difference is ads: PDF Scanner at none against hashcloud's shown. PDF Scanner also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 8 days). hashcloud's advantage is ratings volume (185 vs 5). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. hashcloud sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and PDF Scanner sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Scanner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: hashcloud has 185 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

hashcloud ships an update every 8 days, PDF Scanner every 3 days. Both last shipped on September 30, 2026.
