# RET vs OV

The clearest difference is rating: RET at 4.7 against OV's 1.0. RET also leads on ratings volume (163 vs 2) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). OV's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RET holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RET has 163 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RET ships an update every 5 weeks, OV every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
