# Wiser vs Skillsta

The clearest difference is ads: Skillsta at none against Wiser's shown. Skillsta also leads on review sentiment (58% vs 41%). Wiser's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (56K vs 3.5K). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wiser sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Skillsta sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wiser holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wiser has 56K ratings behind it against 3.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Wiser's written reviews are positive against 58% of Skillsta's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wiser ships an update weekly, Skillsta every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
