# Rapid Word Count vs Better Reply

The clearest difference is rating: Better Reply at 4.4 against Rapid Word Count's 3.0. Better Reply also leads on ratings volume (183 vs 2). Rapid Word Count's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Better Reply sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Rapid Word Count asks for nothing beyond the download.

Better Reply holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Better Reply has 183 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Rapid Word Count's written reviews are positive against 73% of Better Reply's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rapid Word Count ships an update fortnightly, Better Reply every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
