# Foreader vs DramaTime

The clearest difference is update cadence: DramaTime at every 9 days against Foreader's every 2 months. DramaTime also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 55%) and ratings volume (2.4K vs 745). Foreader's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Foreader sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and DramaTime sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Foreader holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 745 and 2.4K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Foreader's written reviews are positive against 80% of DramaTime's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Foreader ships an update every 2 months, DramaTime every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
