# SoberConnection vs Tribute

The clearest difference is rating: SoberConnection at 5.0 against Tribute's 4.4. SoberConnection also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5). Tribute's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tribute sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. SoberConnection asks for nothing beyond the download.

SoberConnection holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tribute has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SoberConnection ships an update every 3 weeks, Tribute every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
