# Car Play Connect vs Pass Drive

The clearest difference is rating: Pass Drive at 5.0 against Car Play Connect's 4.4. Pass Drive also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 15) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 16.0). Car Play Connect's advantage is ratings volume (20K vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Car Play Connect sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Pass Drive asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pass Drive holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Car Play Connect has 20K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Car Play Connect ships an update fortnightly, Pass Drive every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
